BBC Learning English
Regardless of where you are teaching in the world, you are undoubtedly familiar with the BBC. But did you know that the BBC has been helping students learn English since 1943? In 1996, the BBC launched its Learning English site. Today Learning English has about 1.5 million unique users. The site, written and produced by UK experts in the ELT field, features video and audio activities with downloadable worksheets and lessons. Content, which is updated each weekday, is based on real world experiences and news. From it’s How To resources which feature functional English such as complaining, disagreeing and responding to compliments, to its weekly soap opera The Flatmates, BBC Learning English has something for all teachers. Resources are currently designed for intermediate to advanced learners.
