TEFL.net Site Of The Month ~ English Droid

TEFL.net Site Award September 2010

English Droid

A popular ELT site that was first published in 2001 and disappeared from the Internet without a trace has returned to cyberspace! English Droid, written by Simon Barne, is full of satirical articles related to teaching English as a foreign language. Fans of the site claimed that English Droid was the ultimate stress reliever, providing laughter and reflection during break time or while engaging in teacher training. According to Simon Barne, its mysterious disappearance was nothing more than an annoying domain issue and a case of boredom with the blog. While readers should not expect new content from X513, the reincarnated site is full of articles that are good for a laugh when teaching (or blogging) becomes a little too serious.  Thanks to our very own Alex Case for the tip off on this one.
